Kidnap, Ransom and Extortion Insurance
Kidnap and extortion are very real and growing threats throughout the world. While the most vulnerable companies to kidnapping are those that have employees based or travelling overseas, organizations that have high profiles, handle large amounts of cash, or work with sensitive information are also at risk. Companies need to prepare for these threats. Kidnap, Ransom and Extortion Insurance not only protects against financial loss, but also provides the services of leading crisis management and security consultants to manage incidents in conjunction with the policyholder.
Defense Base Act
DBA benefits include disability, medical, and death benefits to covered employees who are injured or killed in the course of employment, whether or not the injury or death occurred during work hours.

How do I determine the total cost of the trip?
You should insure only your prepaid and non-refundable trip cost. Do not insure your expected additional expenses you will be paying for while on the trip. |
|
I made my own travel arrangements and did not go through an agency. Can I still insure the trip?
Yes, all of our policies may be purchased by those making their own travel arrangements. |
|
|
What is the definition of a Pre-Existing Medical Condition?
The definition of a Pre-Existing Medical Condition varies from company to company. Generally, this would be any medical condition, injury, disease or illness to You, a Traveling Companion, Family Member, or Business Partner occurring prior to the effective date of your insurance. |
Will travel insurance protect me if my trip needs to be cancelled because of terrorist activity?
Many plans do offer Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption for a "Terrorist Incident" that occurs in a city listed on your travel itinerary prior to or during travel. Check the policy details for specifics or just call us 866-979-6753 |
|
Why do I need a travel protection plan if I have credit cards that include travel insurance?
Travel insurance from credit cards is usually limited to coverage for car rental damage, flight accidents or for accidental death while you are traveling. Also, this protection is in effect only when you pay for travel with that particular credit card. Most credit cards do not offer any coverage for travel medical expenses, evacuation costs, or trip cancellation expenses. |
What is Co-Insurance or Co-pay?
This is the percentage or amount of expenses that the insured pays (if any) after the deductible is paid. Example: "Co-Insurance = 20% or co-pay is 80/20" means that the travel insurance company pays 80% of the charges, the insured pays 20% |
